wait a second!

hold on hold on, i am not in japan jet. i just wanted to tell you quickly about two projects i finished just now.

one is a zine which i see as a proof of concept. its called "gzsz" an abbreviation for "gute zeichnung schlechte zeichnung" (good drawing bad drawing). i asked people i study with and friends to send in a good and a bad drawing. no other particular parameters other than that it will be printed in b/w. some sent in old work, some handed in two excellent drawings (most) and others completely disobeyed the rules and sent me two bad drawings...well you get the point. the whole thing is about deciding what is "good" and what is "bad". write me, if you want a copy - there are only a few left.

the other one is an artist book (photo). i started a photo project documenting bike locks which were stripped of their purpose. once securing a vehicle and now hanging in there, without function, just securing themselves into existence. a state of being which is a beautiful metaphor for something most people frantically hold on to. the book consists of 155 pages, which were printed at university printer and then bound (glued) together. tine metka helped me with her expertise and some glue, thank you. the pages are enclosed in a steel slipcase, which is locked with an ordinary bike lock. i am happy to have harry copas showing it as an example in his course about artist books, wintersemester 25/26 at bauhausuniversität weimar.
